This loaded vegan cheesy olive bread has been a favorite of ours for many years! It’s super flavorful, perfectly salty, cheesy, crunchy, and just plain delicious! Plus, it’s really easy to make and it’s always a hit, especially with our olive lover friends.

    Loaded Vegan Cheesy Olive Bread

How to Make Cheesy Olive Bread

    • In a small bowl, mix together the butter, mayo, shredded cheese, sliced olives, and green onions.
    • Slice your loaf of french bread into two halves, lengthwise, and place on a baking sheet.
    • Spread the olive mixture evenly onto both halves of the french bread.
    • Transfer to the oven and bake at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

    Tips

    • Olives – I like to use a mix of black olives and pimento-stuffed green olives. You could always try a different blend or another type of olive depending on your preference.
    • Cheese – Vegan mozzarella, pepper jack, or Monterey Jack are our favorites.
    • Use butter that is room temperature or somewhat softened so that it’s easier to combine.
    • I like to broil the cheesy bread for the last minute or two to make sure the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.

    Other Toppings or Serving Suggestions

    • Try adding jalapeños, diced green chiles, or hot sauce to spice it up
    • Throw some chopped tomatoes on top before baking
    • Start with a layer of pizza sauce and add other toppings from there like mushrooms or green peppers
    • Add minced garlic or garlic powder to the mayo and butter mixture
    • Chopped spinach and artichokes would be a nice addition
    • Capers would make it even saltier – if that’s your thing!
